Hope Harbour

Harbour Beach is located in Inner Hope, and is the largest sandy inlet in Hope Cove. Popular amongst walkers and dog lovers, the beach benefits from breathtaking views of the rolling cliffs of Bolt Tail, and provides ample space for traditional beach games. You will often find many sailing dinghies and small motor boats moored here in the summer before they head out to sea for ocean adventures. In the winter, I recommend watching the high sea waves crash against the sea wall, providing quite a spectacle. However, our top thing to do at Harbour Beach is to watch the fishermen haul their catch on the beach, with huge spider crabs and lobster – what better way to soak up the heritage of this traditional fishing village!
 
Burnt Sienna pigment has been a fundamental part of Niall's regular palette, a pigment with warmth born from fire. The brown pigment is derived from naturally occurring oxidised Iron, primarily found in clay, in the form of Goethite, Mineral- FeO(OH), named after Johann Wolfgang von Goethe a German poet, novelist, and mineralogist. This is also Burnt Sienna derived its name, from Siena in Tuscany, where this specific mineral can be found in the clay. Interestingly, it can also be found in Russia and Cornwall.
