Burnt Sienna pigment has been a fundamental part of Niall's regular palette, a pigment with warmth born from fire. The brown pigment is derived from naturally occurring oxidised Iron, primarily found in clay, in the form of Goethite, Mineral- FeO(OH), named after Johann Wolfgang von Goethe a German poet, novelist, and mineralogist. This is also Burnt Sienna derived its name, from Siena in Tuscany, where this specific mineral can be found in the clay. Interestingly, it can also be found in Russia and Cornwall.
